LGA
The purpose of the Ladies Golf Association (LGA) is to generate and sponsor interest and competition in golf. We hold many tournaments during the year for our members, spouses and guests as well as organized games and prizes for Ladies’ Day every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the first week in May to the last week in September. Special events are always planned for the opening and closing days of the season. We also have a 9-hole golf group for those who wish to join in Ladies’ Day but would prefer to play only 9 holes before lunch.
In addition to our regular Tuesday play, we offer some other events that may be of interest to you. We sponsor “A” and “B” women golf teams who compete regularly against other Country Clubs in the area. We also have a competition within the 18-hole group called “Ringers.” This is a game that keeps a record of your best score for each hole during Tuesday play throughout the season. At the end of the year, your best 18-hole score is compiled and the winners are chosen based on the lowest 18-hole scores. For those of you who enjoy the game of bridge, we offer a season-long competition called “Marathon Bridge.” This is a popular event among our members and offers another way to enjoy friends at The Country Club.
Current dues for LGA members are $85 for full membership and $40 for social members. As a member you receive an LGA directory that includes a calendar of events, rules of competition, member’s roster information, and other pertinent items relating to our organization.
